Pepperami is the TBEC specialist around here, I did one of their events and was glad Tony was there because the club does everything slightly different.

Yo Smithy. TBEC Rendlesham was my first ever meeting in February. It's not too hard just a little lonely. I will give you a run down of tips after dinner.

Re: my first meeting

Tips.
1/ Get there very early, 7.30 am. If you don't you will be miles from the pits/scrutineering.
2/ Remember your licence, it is checked.
3/ Collect your timing tag and id tag if you don't have them already.
4/ Hydrate it is a long lap, wear a camel back.
5/ It's not too tricky. The easy routes aren't any longer.
6/ If it feels like you haven't seen anyone for a long time just carry on someone will pass you in a while, you are not lost.
7/ Enjoy yourself, push yourself to your limit ride rour own race.
8/ When you get there check your start row. TBEC, watch which row is going and move up as each row leaves. Don't start your engine until it is time for your row to go.

If you have any particular questions just ask.

Manny I believe the locals planted some exotic flower in the woods and the council chucked a conservation order on it.....Aledgedly

Smithy If you can going on the Saturday to set up the course was a lot of help for me and the plus side is you don't have to clear the course after the race.

Re: my first meeting

I normally try to get there for around ten. It helps seeing and setting some of the course yourself. Everyone is helpful and like to chat. Normally finished around 1pm. You then have the choice to get a £10 off next race voucher or get out of clearing up, I always go for the latter.
