Body woes

Been to the doctor about my knee today which is still very painful after the Natterjack, put it this way I decided to walk the 15 minutes to the surgery, half way back I was beginning to doubt my ability to make it home

She booked me in for some physio first  and made some comments about arthritis and leaving replacement for long as possible

Feel for you mate. Michelle has hip displacia (sp) and at the moment is in agony. Dr prescribed pain relief but 7 tablets = £1 per tablet. Take it easy :?

Re: Body woes

Spoke to the physio today over the phone, 20 minutes just asking basic question like "how much does it hurt" He's going to make an appointment for 3 weeks time, ha made me laugh as I said don't really need physio because I get enough exercise & pain at work  Normal waiting is apparently 10 weeks

Meh the NHS is getting dragged into the shitter ..should have gone straight to casualty :problem:

Re: Body woes

I once tore the tendons and ligaments off of my left hip. I had to have ultrasound. The only problem i had was the physio was a gorgeous blonde, rubbing in cream and stuff! Had to think of nuns and dead kittens

Re: Body woes

A little better but still get pain when I bend it, not sure what is happening and don't feel confident that the physio knows either. The muscle that joins the knee on the outside of the leg he thinks is the problem, he reckons it has been irritating the bone and thats why the joint hurts..not convinced, it's been weeks since the natterjack :wtf: There is no way I can ride at the present time

How is the ankle? Settled down yet?

Re: Body woes

Having had both knees replaced that included full Quadricep rupture (muscle completely severed from bone ) i don't really understand how a muscle can irritate the bone which then angers the joint/tendon..... do not think it would be wise to go an see a top sports physio/specialist who specifically deals in knee trauma, footballers ironically have very similar knee probs/injuries to MX/Off Road riders.....yes it would cost a few quid but be worth it........ don't want to worry you but i personaaly reckon you have muscle tear (Small) where the muscle joins the patella... hence the pain and long time healing or lack of healing, the only simply way of diagnosing this is ultra sound scan.
I do hope all sorts out soon mate.
My ankle is 75% better but still weak when i try to run/stair walk etc.

Re: Body woes

Ouch..old road racing scars are they? :wtf:

Yeah he mention torn muscle, my leg is pretty mangled up from a previous accident, had over 7 operations done to it, 3 just on that knee so not surprised at all that it's playing up now specially after the Natterjack, for me to ride a bike now a days ain't exactly what I call comfortable, always fighting something aching a few pain killers before the start helps
