Time card enduro

I'm going to prep my bike ready for time card enduro's. Lights and enduro tyres basically. I want to do a time card this year but which one??? I had my eye set on Thetford forest on the 21 Nov but have been told this is a really hard one plus it's usually well over subscribed. Any thoughts on races to enter would be helpful.
Using enduro tyres all the time is this a good idea? I can't be doing with keep changing tyres.

Re: Time card enduro

The one on the 21st is down as a Hare and Hounds  , not many timecards round your way..the only one I know is the Muntjac Enduro but that's a British round.

Enduro tyres are more expensive than mx ones but give better grip in most enduro conditions IMHO..I still would run a cheap mx tyre if allowed :silent:

Re: Time card enduro

Just recieved the Eastern Centre Gazette. It is the Santon enduro, Thetford forest. 21 November. It is 2 weeks after Rendlesham so that should be good practice. I will send off the regs in the next couple of days.

My only concerns are how does it all run and tyres! I have put on Maxxis enduro tyres do you think these would be ok or would they want trials tyres?

I really hate the unknown and stepping out of my safety zone!!!!

Re: Time card enduro

Hi Pepper,
It will say clearly in the regs of any enduro what type of tyre to use, usually say either "Any tyre" "FIM enduro " or "Trials".

It's just sending off a cheque for £46 and then finding out my brand new tyres are no good.

Re: Time card enduro

Just found a 2008 programme on the web it clearly states "This is a Centre Restricted Event held under the National Sporting Code, the 2008 Standing Enduro Regulations and the 2008 Eastern Centre Championship Enduro Regulations"

Standing Enduro Regulations = FIM specification enduro tyre max tread depth 13mm...the club can specify additional rules per event though

Read this first http://www.fullthrottlejunkies.org/freq ... 22525.html then ask if you don't understand a particular point
